Avianca expands US-Latin America connectivity with new direct routes

Avianca, a leading Latin American airline, is set to enhance its connectivity between the United States and Central America with the introduction of several new direct routes in 2025.

These strategic expansions aim to meet the growing demand for travel between these regions, offering passengers more convenient options and strengthening economic and cultural ties.

Fort Lauderdale to Managua Service

Commencing on May 10, 2025, Avianca will launch a daily direct flight between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) in Florida and Augusto C. Sandino International Airport (MGA) in Managua, Nicaragua.

This new route is designed to facilitate travel for both business and leisure passengers, providing a vital link between South Florida and Nicaragua.

The flights will be operated using Airbus A320 aircraft, configured to accommodate 180 passengers. This modern fleet offers enhanced comfort and efficiency, ensuring a pleasant journey for travelers.

Tickets for this route are available for purchase through Avianca’s official channels, including their website, mobile app, and authorized travel agencies.

Expansion of Services to Colombia and El Salvador

In addition to the Fort Lauderdale-Managua route, Avianca is broadening its reach with new services connecting major U.S. cities to key destinations in Colombia and El Salvador:

Strengthening Florida’s Connectivity

Florida remains a focal point in Avianca’s expansion strategy. In January 2025, the airline announced additional routes set to commence on March 30, 2025:

Commitment to Enhanced Connectivity

These new routes reflect Avianca’s dedication to expanding its network and providing passengers with more travel options between the United States and Latin America.

By introducing direct flights to underserved markets and increasing frequencies on existing routes, Avianca aims to facilitate tourism, business travel, and cultural exchange across the Americas.

Passengers interested in these new services are encouraged to visit Avianca’s official website or contact authorized travel agents for booking and additional information.

With the launch of these routes, Avianca continues to solidify its position as a premier carrier connecting North and South America.
